Michelle Obama has a message for the millions of children who don’t approve of the Food Nanny’s lunch standards: “Don’t be mad.” Speaking with Channel One News, Obama explained that “Change is hard. And the thing about highly processed, sugary, salty food is that you get addicted to it. I don’t want to just settle because it’s hard.” She acknowledged kids “are grumbling because they have to make changes,” but added, “Don’t be mad because there are changes. Figure out why the changes are important, and then find out how you make it work for you.” The First Lady lectured Americans not “to give up because it’s expensive.
