Gone are the days when giving a speech only required a simple soapbox. When Obama rises to the teleprompters, he costs the American taxpayer about $5,200 per minute. The Washington Free Beacon acquired the contract between the Air Force and the company Elite Productions. An 18-minute speech by Obama cost the government $94,300. Elite Productions helps produce the Left’s speeches by compiling the stage, microphone and decorations. Past customers for the company include Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and the Democratic National Committee. It used to be, in the days of Cicero and Demosthenes, orators took hours to hone their craft, improve their memory and train their voices to reach the furthest edges of a crowd.
