The IRS is auditing the maker of the ObamaCare documentary Sick and Sicker, making his the second conservative media organization to be audited by the agency. Logan Clements said he was never audited before, and he was hit with an audit right before he planned to release his documentary. At the beginning of September, Breitbart News announced it, too, was being audited by the IRS. While it is suspicious two conservative media organizations are served with audits, the situation is not worrisome until more conservative media groups get the white envelopes from the IRS, indicating a trend. Of course, right-wing scribblers have reason to worry, as the IRS targeted conservative non-profits before and Barack Obama joked at Arizona State University in 2009 about abusing power to audit people who irritate him. “I learned never again to pick another team over the Sun Devils in my NCAA brackets. … [ASU] President [Michael] Crowe and the Board of Regents will soon learn all about being audited by the IRS,” Obama darkly jested.
