Barack Obama announced Ron Klain as his new “Ebola Czar.” Obama said, “It may make sense for us to have one person, in part just so that after this initial surge of activity we can have a more regular process to make sure we’re crossing all the t’s and dotting all the i’s.” Just who is Ron Klain? He’s the former chief of staff for both Al Gore and Joe Biden. As RedState’s Dan McLaughlin put it, “Maybe Ron Klain will do a good job, but for perspective, imagine Bush putting Karl Rove in charge of Katrina recovery in October 2006.” Or better yet, Scooter Libby. Furthermore, Klain is a K Street lobbyist with ties to the Solyndra boondoggle and bankruptcy. He’s a political hack, not a doctor or an expert, but he did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
