The Obama administration is impatient with the Supreme Court. The executive branch is not employing the political strategy endorsed by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the one to move slowly and incrementally over time to let the culture warm to the idea of same-sex marriage and, in RBG’s terms, “gender equality cases.” Hello! Attorney General Eric Holder is leaving a he has a legacy to fulfill! So, the Justice Department is going to unleash its lawyers to force states to march lockstep regarding LGBT issues, right over the states’ Tenth Amendment right, mind you. In a statement, Holder announced, “We will not delay in fulfilling our responsibility to afford every eligible couple, whether same-sex or opposite-sex, the full rights and responsibilities to which they are entitled. With their long-awaited unions, we are slowly drawing closer to full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender Americans nationwide.” Holder announced he would resign. So when will that happen? Does this announcement mean Holder will still work with all his things in boxes until the end of Obama’s term? More…
