While George H.W. Bush endorsed David Perdue in the Georgia Senate race, Purdue’s challenger, Michelle Nunn, won’t stop using the former president’s image in her campaign ads. Nunn must combat the notion that she’s a liberal Obama supporter, so what better way than to broadcast her connection to the former president, ad nauseum? Jim McGrath, spokesman for the elder Bush, said, “Michelle and her team have been clearly, repeatedly and consistently told that President Bush did not want them to use his photo as part of this campaign. Apparently, the Nunn team feels they can repeatedly disregard the former president’s wishes, which is very disappointing because it’s so disrespectful.” She was for Bush before she was against him.
