Is ISIL a threat to U.S. national security? Pffft, says Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-NY). “I don’t see where that’s a threat to our national security,” he said, adding, “This is a cancer in this part of the world [the Middle East] and it is true that America and probably Europe – not with standing that, it appears as though there could be overall a threat, not directly to us.” Perhaps he hasn’t been watching the news about the ISIL-inspired terrorist attack in Canada. Or maybe he really bought Barack Obama’s line that he has “decimated” al-Qaida and we needn’t fear Islamic terrorism anymore. Either way, he’s clueless.
