Universities have long been used as indoctrination centers by the Left, many of which are funded by taxpayers. Professor Musa al-Gharbi of the University of Arizona is the latest example of how your money is being completely wasted in the name of “education.” According to a column penned by al-Gharbi, “It would not be a stretch to say that the United States is actually a greater threat to peace and stability in the region than ISIS.” He defended the ruthless terrorist organization by asserting that “many of the same behaviors condemned by the Obama administration and used to justify its most recent campaign into Iraq and Syria are commonly perpetrated by US troops and are ubiquitous in the broader American society.” For example, he says that “US soldiers and contractors repeatedly used rape as a weapon of war” during the Afghanistan and Iraq campaigns, and “one in five women who attend college in America are sexually assaulted over the course of their academic career, often with no justice even when the crimes are reported.” Aside from the fact his second point has been thoroughly debunked, al-Gharbi’s sympathetic rant misses (likely intentionally) the forest for the trees. The only ideology that encourages ISIL’s behavior is the sham religion of Islam. More…
