First, the dog ate Lois Lerner’s homework. Now it comes out that the IRS just didn’t even bother looking for the former official’s emails related to the Tea Party targeting scandal. According to Judicial Watch, “[T]he Internal Revenue Service (IRS) admitted to the court that it failed to search any of the IRS standard computer systems for the ‘missing’ emails of Lois Lerner and other IRS officials.” The IRS is clearly dragging its feet to avoid incriminating Lerner or the agency more broadly.
