When government tries to game the system, consumers lose. When the users of ObamaCare renew their coverage in the coming weeks, they could end up paying more for their plans. This year, more insurance companies are jumping into the ObamaCare game, offering lower prices than last year, according to The Wall Street Journal. This changes how the federal government subsidizes all those health care plans. So if the customer likes their plan, they will probably end up paying more for the plan because the feds will pick up less of the bill. Managing director at the Boston branch of the Wakely Consulting group Jon Kingsdale told WSJ, “If you shop, there are big savings to be had. If you don’t, you could be in for a rude shock.” And how many consumers will actually take the time and brave the newest evolution of the federal health care exchange to shop for insurance?
