They say it’s intended to get youngsters off the coach and encourage healthier eating choices, but the only thing slimming down on yet another futile government-funded project are taxpayers’ wallets, not waistlines. Via The Washington Free Beacon: “The federal government has invested over $10 million developing and promoting a video game about a young teen that must escape a town full of fat people, as a method to fight obesity. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) paid for the development of two video games that promote healthier eating, including ‘Escape from Diab,’ a ‘nightmare’ fictional city where people are only allowed to eat junk food.” That sounds terrible. Meanwhile, that $10 million could have been put to better use – like researching a cure for the urgent Ebola epidemic ravaging Africa. More…
