Sen. Harry Reid is still the leader of Senate Democrats. Thursday, congressional Democrats named their leadership, filling spots left vacant from re-election losses. It was all the usual Washington politics, except for a special spot created just for the Democrats’ new darling Elizabeth Warren. “In a nod toward energizing the Democratic base, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) will fill a newly created position as a special liaison to liberal groups, serving as strategic policy adviser to the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee,” The Hill reports. How many of those groups will be funded by leftist billionaire Tom Steyer? Also according to The Hill, “Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.) won a contest against Sen. Chris Coons (D-Del.) to become the next chairman of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) will serve as the next chairwoman of the Senate Democratic Steering Committee, replacing Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska), who lost his reelection bid last week.” In short, the trouncing at the polls taught Democrats nothing. More…
