The Board of Health for Brown County Wisconsin ruled the local wind turbine plant a health hazard, the first-of-its-kind decision in the states. The board decided the eight-turbine plant produced a low-frequency sound that could be detected more than six miles away. Member of the Brown County Board of Health Jay Tibbetts said, “I can tell you that we are absolutely not an anti-wind energy board. We worked on this for four and a half years before making this decision. … We also know that this isn’t only happening here. In Ontario 40 families have abandoned their homes to get away from the effects of wind turbines.” Tibbetts continued, “We have 80 people on record who have made health complaints, including a nurse who is going deaf. We can’t just ignore this.” A statist’s big government energy scheme blows away at the one of the assessments from one of those hyper-safe health boards.
