MIT professor and ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber didn’t want to tell Congress last week how much money he had raked in consulting on health care policy. Since he took a cue from the “most transparent administration in history,” Congress decided to subpoena the information. “This week, Dr. Gruber repeatedly refused to answer several key questions, including the amount of taxpayer funds he received for his work on Obamacare,” Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) said in a statement. “The American people deserve not just an apology, but a full accounting, which Dr. Gruber must provide.” Gruber has been paid nearly $6 million for his efforts to pull the wool over the eyes of “stupid American voters.” It’s time that information saw the light of day in Congress so he and the administration can be held to account.
