The North Korean hackers who bullied Sony Pictures into spiking the release of “The Interview” sent studio executives an email congratulating them for making a “wise decision.” But, naturally, having now tasted success, the hackers made more demands. “Now we want you never let [sic] the movie released, distributed or leaked in any form of, for instance, DVD or piracy,” the email read. “And we want everything related to the movie, including its trailers, as well as its full version down from any website hosting them immediately.” If Sony doesn’t comply, the hackers reminded executives that “we still have your private and sensitive data,” which they’ll keep “unless you make additional trouble.” It sure does seem that Sony’s capitulation has only emboldened the hackers.
