When the president flies, we need to know that his trips are to benefit the American people, not the Democrat Party or some elite group of people. Records unearthed by Judicial Watch show that the president blew $1.1 million on a quick hop across America’s fruited plain in Air Force One to attend fundraisers in San Francisco and Los Angeles in October. President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton said, “Taxpayers are being gouged by President Obama for unnecessary travel for political fundraising and vacations. There needs to be a reconsideration of the longstanding taxpayer subsidy that forces our nation’s military and Secret Service into the service of political parties and candidates.” These visits included a fundraiser with Gwyneth Paltrow that prevented her neighbors from returning to their homes.
