Asked in an NPR interview if the U.S. is more racially divided than when he took office, Barack Obama said, “No.” He added, “I actually think that it’s probably in its day-to-day interactions less racially divided.” According to reputable polling, a majority of Americans say racial relations have gotten worse, with 89% saying racism is worse or has stayed the same. Only 9% agree with Obama that race relations have improved. Unquestionably, Obama’s “National Race-Bait Dialogue” charade promotes racial tension across the nation. While Obama and Holder are busy dealing “race cards,” maybe the political urgency is compelled by the findings of a comprehensive national survey on racism by Rasmussen: “Among black Americans, 31% think most blacks are racist, while 24% consider most whites racist and 15% view most Hispanics that way.” The “color-conscious” duo would far better serve their constituents if they focused on the real divide in America – the moral divide that accounts for the racial disparity in crime.
