Border Security in Mexico's Hands

The U.S. is asking Mexico to do what it can’t – secure the nation’s borders. Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto met with Barack Obama Tuesday to talk immigration. Josh Earnest, White House Press Secretary, said that the U.S. is passing responsibility for its border security to the Mexico, saying, “We’ve worked closely with the Peña Nieto administration to enforce tighter border controls along their southern border and try to shut down the convenience of that transportation.” And while international cooperation is all well and good, asking Mexico to do our dirty work comes with a price.
