The Patriot Post® · Michael Moore Makes Case for the Second Amendment
The film “American Sniper,” a tribute to slain Navy SEAL Chris Kyle, got off to a riveting start this long holiday weekend with earnings north of $100 million. The enormous support shown by Americans is lost on gun control activists like filmmaker Michael Moore, who tweeted his unsolicited opinion of the film [original wording]: “My uncle killed by sniper in WW2. We were taught snipers were cowards. Will shoot u in the back. Snipers aren’t heroes. And invaders r worse.” Yes, Kyle was cowardly enough to risk his life defending our very freedom. A few hours later, Moore added, “But if you’re on the roof of your home defending it from invaders who’ve come 7K miles, you are not a sniper, u are brave, u are a neighbor.” Moore was attempting to advocate isolationism, but instead he inadvertently highlighted one reason we have a constitutional right to bear arms. Finally, something from an anti-gun leftist tens of millions of armed Americans can agree with!
