According to the Left, American values are white values. Recently, Fox News ran – then retracted – a story about “no-go zones” in some European cities, where non-assimilated Muslims push local law enforcement out of their neighborhoods to practice Sharia law. While the story was discredited, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal says it has the ring of truthiness. Jindal told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that Muslim immigrants in Europe set up their own enclaves and are hostile to Western ideas such as freedom of expression. Unlike his parents who came to the U.S. from India, Muslim immigrants don’t assimilate, he said. Human rights attorney Arsalan Iftikhar told MSNBC, “I think Governor Jindal is protesting a bit too much. He might be trying to scrub some of the brown off of his skin as he runs to the right in a Republican presidential exploratory bid. It’s the worst common denominator of American politics to marginalize any minority demographic group. I’m sure Governor Jindal will come to his senses in the next couple days.” Instead, it is Iftikhar who shows his racism, implying that immigrants partitioned in separate but equal enclaves is part of the American way.
