The Patriot Post® · White House Doesn't Admit Crusade Against Heretics
While the jihadists bitterly cling to their bombs and religion, the White House continues its holy war to wipe out Islamic heretics. Barack Obama declared that the War on Terror is not a war against religion – not one he recognizes at least. “I think that the way to understand this is there is an element growing out of Muslim communities in certain parts of the world that have perverted the religion, have embraced a nihilistic, violent, almost medieval interpretation of Islam,” he pontificated. “And they are doing damage in a lot of countries around the world.” Yet the militant Islamists themselves are not nihilistic about their faith. Richard Reid, who is sitting out a lifetime prison sentence, tried to blow up American Airlines Flight 63 in December 2001, but his shoe bomb wouldn’t light. Recently, he wrote from prison that he has “some tactical regrets” over the dud bomb. “However,” he continued, “at the same time I also believe that it wasn’t supposed to happen, not because it was displeasing to God … rather because it was not either my time to die nor that of those on the plane with me, and he had other plans for me which include my staying in prison and other matters which I may not be aware of as of yet.” But remember: Reid’s attack has nothing to do with Islam.
