The Patriot Post® · Axelrod Recounts Romney's Racist Concession Call
David Axelrod, former adviser to Barack Obama, has a new book coming out, and in it he describes the scene when Obama took Mitt Romney’s concession call after the 2012 election. Axelrod claims Romney essentially told Obama he won due to mobilizing the black vote. Obama was “unsmiling during the call, and slightly irritated when it was over,” Axelrod said. He then quoted Obama quoting Romney: “‘You really did a great job of getting out the vote in places like Cleveland and Milwaukee,’ in other words, black people. Update, Feb. 5: According to Garrett Jackson, a Romney aide with the GOP candidate on Election Night 2012, Axelrod isn’t telling the truth: “I know it didn’t happen because I was right next to him there. Hell, I was the one who called the president on my phone.” You mean a Democrat would lie?
