Barack Obama is all about just being a practical guy who likes to “get stuff done.” He’s not ideological or partisan, and he’s never cynical. Now that you’re done laughing, here’s what he told the Huffington Post: “What we have done though is consistently looked for additional opportunities to get stuff done. Wherever we see a possibility of increasing wages, creating more jobs, making sure that more people are able to access opportunity, we’re gonna seize it. And we’re going to, wherever possible, try to reach out to Republicans and see if they can work with us. And where they’re not willing to work with us, we will do it administratively or we will convene the private sector. By hook or by crook…” Ah, it’s that last part that’s key, isn’t it? Leftists never admit to raw power grabs, which is all Obama’s list really amounts to. They just want to do good things for good people, even though evil Republicans are bound to stand in the way. And the ends always justify the means.
