Here’s how to get the goat of the Department of Veterans Affairs: Start making bogus charges to the company credit card. Former VA employee Sean Higgins said the FBI is investigating the Memphis VA for several instances of fraud. At least one alleged fraudster was escorted from the building and his computer seized. The Daily Caller reports, “The FBI, Higgins said, is currently investigating Andre Reddick, a former employee, for a bogus purchase order scheme he – along with a partner outside the VA – allegedly put in purchase orders for equipment not approved by the VA that would be sent to his accomplice’s business. The equipment, bought with VA money, would then be resold, according to the allegation.” In other words, stealing from the American people is one thing, but woe is the employee that defrauds the organization.
