The duties of the Secret Service are eclectic — chasing down counterfeit currency, protecting the president and, now, teaching Malia Obama how to drive. When TV host Rachel Ray asked Michelle Obama who is teaching her oldest daughter the rules of the road, the first lady said, “The Secret Service, actually, because they wouldn’t let me in the car with her.” It’s hit or miss when it comes to a Secret Service agent’s driving ability, however. Ideally, at least one of them should be able to J-turn the armored presidential limo out of an ambush, maybe pull off an action hero chase scene. But then there was the dynamic duo that after a night of drinking Mar. 4 managed to both drive into a barrier and run over a suspected bomb.
