The Patriot Post® · Due to Finances, Clinton Foundation Placed on 'Watch List'
So much for Bill Clinton’s claim that the Clinton Foundation was “by a good long stretch, the most transparent of all the presidential foundations and more transparent than a lot of other major foundations in the country.”
But Charity Navigator, an organization that evaluates charities to help people donate more effectively, placed the Clinton Foundation on its “watch list” of problematic charities, according to the New York Post. “We had previously evaluated this organization, but have since determined that this charity’s atypical business model can not be accurately captured in our current rating methodology,” Charity Navigator wrote on its website. (Also on the watch list is Al Sharpton’s National Action Network because the organization hasn’t paid its payroll taxes.)
Furthermore, the Clinton Foundation only spent 10% of it 2013 budget on actually fulfilling its mission. Typically, a good charity will spend at least 75% of its budget on that line item, not on flights, office space and Internet connection. This all comes out as the Clinton Foundation refiles its taxes for the last five years because of “mistakes.” As Bill Allison, a senior fellow at the Sunlight Foundation said, “It seems like the Clinton Foundation operates as a slush fund for the Clintons.” More…
