Baltimore city officials are mum after the police department handed its investigation into the death of Freddie Gray over to state prosecutors Thursday, a day before they said the investigation would be completed. The public still doesn’t know the details surrounding the 25-year-old’s death. Maryland State Attorney Marilyn Mosby said, “While we have and will continue to leverage the information received by the department, we are not relying solely on their findings but rather the facts that we have gathered and verified. Update: Marilyn Mosby announced Friday that all six police officers will be charged for their actions that resulted in the death of Gray. “To the people of Baltimore and the demonstrators across America,” Mosby said, “I heard your call for ‘No Justice, No Peace,’ your peace is sincerely needed as I work to deliver justice on behalf of this young man.” If convicted, the police officers could face decades in prison.
