The Patriot Post® · Graham, Perry, Jindal Announce Possible Announcements
The field for the GOP presidential nomination is getting more crowded all the time. Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Carly Florin, Mike Huckabee, Jeb Bush, Scott Walker… where does a voter begin. Well, Lindsey Graham, Rick Perry and Bobby Jindal have all now made announcements about possible announcements, presenting three more choices to contemplate. Jindal said he is “announcing the launch of an exploratory committee, which will help me to decide whether to seek our party’s nomination.” Perry’s wife, Anita, teased a “major announcement” on June 4 as Perry prepares to improve upon his ill-fated 2012 run. And Graham kicked off his likely bid with a serious warning: “I’m running because of what I see on television. The world is falling apart.” Each of the candidates brings both strength and weakness to the table. Graham is a senator who has rarely seen a military intervention he didn’t like, but voters are more concerned about national security these days. Jindal and Perry governed their respective states with varying degrees of success and will likely aim to convince voters a better economy can come about with their policies. As crowded as the field is, however, we’d expect it will little down fairly quickly.
