The Patriot Post® · IG Refers Clinton's Use of Classified Material in Email to DOJ
It’s been long suspected that Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information as she used her home-brewed email account when she served as secretary of state. “I’m certainly aware of the classified requirements and did not send classified material,” Clinton said of her email habits in March. But the 30,000 emails she handed over to the State Department is a lot of email. When the inspector general for the intelligence community took a look at a slice of the document trove, the IG found four instances where Clinton handled information labeled “secret.” Inspector General I. Charles McCullough wrote to Congress: “None of the emails we reviewed had classification or dissemination markings, but some included IC-derived classified information and should have been handled as classified, appropriately marked, and transmitted via a secure network.” In conclusion, what’s an IG to do? McCullough referred the matter to the FBI. The Department of Justice has yet to say if it will open an investigation. But if Clinton truly has nothing to hide, then she’ll hand over her server.
