Do you know who is teaching your kids?

School administrators at Florida’s Collier County Public Schools are investigating after a substitute teacher reportedly showed an episode of the TV show “Naked and Afraid” to a group of second grade students. The show in the reality TV genre features a nude couple, with strategic parts blurred out, attempting to survive in a wilderness. The local CBS affiliate, WINK News, was kind enough to film a school administrator saying, “The early investigation says that’s not any part of our curriculum. We wouldn’t be showing a program like that to a second grade class.” Whew! Glad we cleared that up. The sub that showed the film has been banned from the school district, though she has not been named. The situation raises a good point: It’s 8 o'clock. Do you know who is teaching your kids? As Hot Air’s Ed Morrissey notes, “It’s stories like these that remind parents of the wisdom of school choice, or perhaps home schooling if parents have the resources.”
