The Patriot Post® · Sanders and Clinton Pull Left on Immigration
Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders are content with the level of enforcement of immigration law, and their immigration plans will seek to increase the comfort for people who entered this country illegally. The two appeared on the debate stage Wednesday and spoke to a Miami audience. It was here that the two tried to appeal to Latino voters, and prove their immigration bona fides.
Both vowed that they wouldn’t deport children. Sanders pointed to the fact he is the son of a polish immigrant. Clinton couched her promise by saying immigrant children coming into the country seeking asylum need to have due process. In fact, the only reason they would deport someone is if they were found guilty of a crime, or if that person was a terrorist. For these Democrats, the immigration debate was no longer about security and all about keeping families together. “Everybody that I know has looked at it said, okay, we have a secure border,” Clinton said. “There’s no need for this rhetoric and demagoguery that’s still carried out on the Republican side. You’ve run out of excuses. Let’s move to comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship. And I think that makes a very strong argument in favor of doing it.”
The insecurity at the border isn’t solved, actually. Tell that to the families of murder victims of already-deported illegal aliens. Democrat reform isn’t exactly fixing anything, only making life easier for people who broke the nation’s immigration laws to live here in the U.S. Just this week, Missouri State Highway Patrol captured Pablo Antonio Serrano-Vitorino, a Mexican national who used a rifle to murder five people in Kansas and Missouri. He was deported from this country in 2004, but he crossed that “secure border” and eventually committed mass murder. What’s moral about the government doing nothing about that?
