The Patriot Post® · Clinton Denies She Took the Oil Industry's Money
Hillary Clinton told a gusher of a lie to a Greenpeace activist who asked the “inevitable” Democrat nominee if she would honor her pledge and refuse money from the fossil fuel industry. In a 17-second video, Clinton screamed back, “I do not have — I have money from people who work for fossil fuel companies. I am so sick — I am so sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me. I am sick of it.” False and False. Bernie Sanders’ mild critique of Clinton is that she takes money from big banks and other special interest groups. It’s not a lie if it’s true, as election data shows that Clinton took $21 million from the securities and investment industry, $14 million from lawyers and law firms and a combined $5 million from the health care industry. And yes, the oil and gas industry siphoned off $300,000 into Clinton’s coffers. Sanders isn’t immune from liberal criticism, though, for his campaign received $54,000 from the industry. But Clinton probably got more because her pay-to-play policies are well known among the big industries and banks. Caught in the duplicity of it all, she can only yell.
