The Patriot Post® · Ramadan Is Here and Obama Sees Political Opportunity

In his statement wishing Muslims here in the States and around the world “Ramadan Kareem,” Barack Obama couldn’t help but politicize the issue. He made implied criticism of Republican candidate Donald Trump over his stance on Muslim immigrants. Obama said, “I stand firmly with Muslim American communities in rejection of the voices that seek to divide us or limit our religious freedoms or civil rights. … We will continue to welcome immigrants and refugees into our nation, including those who are Muslim.”

Where to begin?

This is a guy who’s done more to divide us as a nation and limit religious freedoms than anyone, all while lecturing Christians about the Crusades and telling the UN that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” Obama may talk like he’s tolerant of people’s sincerely held beliefs, but pity the person who says it’s a violation of their conscience to bake cakes for same-sex marriage ceremonies.

Meanwhile, it was during this time last year in the Islamic calendar that a jihadist thought it was a significant time to attack two military sites in Chattanooga, Tennessee. There’s a heightened security threat, and Obama can only attack presidential candidates and push for more lax immigration policies.
