The Patriot Post® · FBI: Orlando Terrorist Not Motivated by Homosexual Hatred

“This was clearly an act of terror and an act of hate,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch stated days after the Islamist attack on the Pulse homosexual nightclub in Orlando. As it has now been a little over a month since that horrific attack, the motives of the perpetrator, Omar Mateen, continue to be the subject of obfuscation. Mere hours after the attack, two prominent narratives for his motive were widely disseminated. First, that he attacked out of some form of anti-homosexual hatred, attributable to right-wing Christian rhetoricand second, that he was radicalized by the Islamic State. One of these is correct.

Recently, a U.S. law enforcement official stated, “While there can be no denying the significant impact on the gay community, the investigation hasn’t revealed that he targeted Pulse because it was a gay club.” Witnesses reported that during the attack, Mateen never used any homosexual slurs, which would be somewhat surprising if he was primarily motivated by a hatred of homosexuals. Secondly, the FBI reported that they have not uncovered any evidence supporting the theory that Mateen was motived by a hatred of homosexuals.

The second motivating narrative, one that the Obama Justice Department actively tried to cover up, has the more credible evidence — primarily that of Mateen’s declarations of allegiance to the Islamic State as he was carrying out the attack and his remarks in the past that put him on the FBI watch list in the first place.

What is clear is that those who seeking to push a political agenda at all costs will seek to avoid the obvious information in favor of manufactured information. In this case, the Rainbow Mafia is promoting the motive as a hatred of homosexuals. Therefore, they insist, more must be done in the form of newer hate crime legislation against those who do not support the homosexual agenda. Meanwhile, Islamists continue to murder innocent people.
