Dinesh D'Souza’s documentary “Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party” is doing brisk business in theaters. The film cracked the top 10 last week, accumulating $3.7 million in ticket sales. It opened on July 15 on just three screens, but strong word-of-mouth and the RNC and the DNC are driving people to check out the film.

“Hillary’s America,” which D'Souza co-wrote and co-directed along with Bruce Schooley, shares D'Souza’s research on the true origins of the Democrat Party and the rise of Hillary Clinton. Reviews from much of the mainstream press have been predictably scathing. Can’t have anyone taking the Left’s favorite politician to task, right? Of course, if Hillary had her way, this film probably wouldn’t even exist.

You might recall that the Obama administration wanted to put a stake right through the heart of free political speech in 2009 with the Citizens United case. Barack Obama and then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tried to convince the Supreme Court that the government had the power to suppress speech, ban books, or censor media that mentioned the name of a candidate for office during an election cycle. Can’t have an informed electorate, now can we?

Ironically enough, the Citizens United case originated over a movie about Hillary Clinton that came out during her 2008 presidential campaign. Because the film was not a flattering portrait, the Left went after it claiming that it was an electioneering tool. The film survived, and the Supreme Court, in a narrow 5-4 ruling, came down on the side of free political speech. But the Left has been going after Citizens United ever since.

Clinton has even sworn to use Citizens United as a litmus test for Supreme Court justices. “I will do everything I can to appoint Supreme Court Justices who protect the right to vote and do not protect the right of billionaires to buy elections,” Clinton said in 2015. Translation: Justices who oppose the First Amendment, which the Founder intended specifically to protect political speech, even if it comes from billionaires. The wealthy don’t lose their rights by virtue of having money.

Besides, Clinton claims to be on the side of the voter, but her shady arrangements through the Clinton Foundation prove that she doesn’t have a problem with corporate money in politics when it suits her purposes.

D'Souza’s current documentary goes into some detail about Clinton’s business dealings and how she has used the Clinton Foundation as a collection point for corporate and foreign money, and how she is engaging in influence peddling.

The inconvenient truths about Clinton’s rise to power and her battle to win the White House cannot be kept from the people, but she is trying her best to make that happen. D'Souza’s film does a service to the public because it shares information that the Clinton’s Leftmedia Presstitutes would rather suppress.
