When FBI Director James Comey let Hillary Clinton off the hook this summer, Democrats showered him with adoration, praising his integrity and pursuit of truth.

It’s amazing how their attitudes have changed now that the narrative has completely unraveled. Referring to Comey, Harry Reid formerly said, “No one can question the integrity, the competence.” Except Reid is now questioning Comey’s integrity and competence. On Sunday, he charged the FBI director, who on Friday reopened the Hillary Clinton investigation, of orchestrating an illegal scheme: “my office has determined that these actions may violate the Hatch Act, which bars FBI officials from using their official authority to influence an election. Through your partisan actions, you may have broken the law.”

By the way, Reid libeled Mitt Romey in 2012, asserting, “As we know, he has refused to release his tax returns. If a person coming before this body wanted to be a Cabinet officer, he couldn’t be if he had the same refusal Mitt Romney does about tax returns. So the word is out that he has not paid any taxes for 10 years. Let him prove he has paid taxes, because he has not.” This serial liar can’t retire soon enough.
