‘Real Housewife’ Proves Second Amendment Matters

Kenya Moore pulled a gun to scare away three intruders.

Perhaps not many Patriot Post readers are familiar with the various “Real Housewives” series that run on the cable network called Bravo. They should, however, become more familiar with one star — Kenya Moore of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” especially after a recent incident.

Moore, a former Miss USA, faced three trespassers who had scaled the gate of her Atlanta-area home — a situation that could have ended very badly. She was outnumbered, and two of the three intruders were men. Fortunately, Moore had something to even the odds — a firearm.

The three suspects fled after the reality-television star pulled the gun. This is often the case when a firearm is used for self-defense — the armed citizen doesn’t have to actually fire the gun; the mere revelation that an intended victim is armed causes the bad guys to flee.

“I have a right to feel safe in my home and to protect myself,” she said. “I don’t care if I’m on TV.” She went on to ask, “What if three strangers banged on your front door … two of them being grown men wearing dark clothing knowing they could only get to you by jumping fences or trespassing onto other properties and mine?”

We know one thing for sure: Like Kenya Moore, we want to have a firearm readily accessible to make sure such situations don’t have a very different outcome.
