The Patriot Post® · The Bureaucrats' Other Addiction
Back in 2014, we reported on one EPA employee who had stored pornographic material on the agency’s network and admitted to spending between two and six work hours per day viewing it. In all, he had downloaded and viewed more than 7,000 pornographic files while on the job. That was bad, but it was just one guy — albeit one earning six figures before retiring in 2015.
Well, a new report reveals that hundreds of government employees in at least 12 separate agencies (Justice, Transportation, Energy and Social Security Administration, just to name a few) are doing the same thing. And that’s just the “egregious” cases discovered by government investigators. The Washington Free Beacon notes, “A Department of Justice worker in Tucson, Ariz., visited 2,500 adult websites and downloaded over 1,100 pornographic pictures at work, spending the ‘majority of his duty time viewing inappropriate adult websites.’ Another Justice employee in Dallas, Texas, watched porn between four and six hours every day at work and had ‘tens of thousands’ of pornographic pictures on a work computer, ‘including some which might have been child pornography.’”
“This is not just an isolated incident at one single agency,” said Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC). “We’re starting to find it across almost every agency.” It seems to us that power isn’t the only thing addictive to bureaucrats.
