Insight: “Justice without force is impotent. Force without justice is tyranny. Unable to make what is just strong, we have made what is strong just.” —Blaise Pascal (1623- 1662)

That’s racist! “[Cowboys owners] Jerry Jones … says he’s going to suspend any player who doesn’t stand [for the national anthem]. … ‘Plantation mentality.’ That’s what it comes off as.” —ESPN host Michael Wilbon

Village Idiots: “I feel very bad for Harvey Weinstein right now. I don’t think it’s right what’s going on. I think Georgina needs to take a stand and be there for her husband.” —Lindsay Lohan

Will he return campaign contributions? “Michelle and I have been disgusted by the recent reports about Harvey Weinstein. Any man who demeans and degrades women in such fashion needs to be condemned and held accountable, regardless of wealth or status. We should celebrate the courage of women who have come forward to tell these painful stories. And we all need to build a culture — including by empowering our girls and teaching our boys decency and respect — so we can make such behavior less prevalent in the future.” —Barack Obama

Will she return campaign contributions? “I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein. The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated.” —Hillary Clinton (Except, apparently, with her husband.)

Friendly fire: “It’s good Clinton broke her silence. Of course, it is too bad she was one of the last to do so.” —CNN’s Erin Burnett

And last… “The Left has finally found the only immigrant in history who had no right to come to America. The only one who didn’t improve the place by his presence. His name? Christopher Columbus. His crime? Violating the sovereignty of the people who lived here already. Plus, he was the wrong ethnicity. Try making that argument about any other immigrant to America and see how long you keep your job.” —Tucker Carlson
