Lies have consequences. The falsehood of transgenderism is no exception. It destroys those individuals who, caught up in its distortion, lose their grasp of objective reality and engage in medical alterations of their perfectly normal physical form. It’s very similar to an eating disorder, in which an individual may starve themselves over the delusion that they are too fat.
The transgender lie destroys family relationships as it demands that the only way to “love” a family member suffering from gender dysphoria is to capitulate and embrace their delusion. Anything other than full acceptance is labeled an expression of hatred. And it fractures society by demanding that the objective scientific reality of DNA coding be rejected in favor of an impossible and an unworkable fiction. Those advocating transgenderism seek to suppress all valid objections in the name of avoiding the great “sin” of offending leftist sensitivities. They willfully ignore facts in order to promote the fantasy. They blame society for holding onto objective reality when an individual who has rejected those truths and embraces the lie suffers consequences. For example, the cause of high suicide rates among those suffering from gender dysphoria is blamed not on the mental illness but on society at large for refusing to embrace the transgender delusion.
Again, the transgender lie isn’t merely one individual engaging in lying to themselves, but it demands that the community at large embrace and espouse the deceit. Those who refuse to endorse the transgender delusion are labeled as hateful and bigoted. To put it simply, by refusing to go along with the lie, one will be found guilty of acting immorally. For example, if one refuses to use the preferred (and wrong) gender pronoun of a self-identified transgender person, one is deemed to have sinned for failing to “respect” the delusional individual. It truly is twisted.
A recent example of the destructive nature of the transgender lie is being played out in a court in Cincinnati. Juvenile Court Judge Sylvia Hendon just permanently removed a 17-year-old girl from her parents’ custody. Why? The girl, who identifies herself as a boy, wants to receive gender transitioning hormone treatments, which her parents object to. She claims her situation is a life-or-death struggle, and that she is suicidal if she is unable to receive the hormone treatments. In 2016, she was hospitalized for depression, an anxiety disorder and gender dysphoria. The teen’s grandparents, with whom she is currently living, support the girl’s desire to receive hormone treatments. The attorney for the teen, Paul Hunt, argues, “We think the grandparents are the ones who have an open mind and will … make this sort of decision best for the child. The parents have clearly indicated that they’re not open to it.”
The obvious question here is this: Why doesn’t the teen wait until she turns 18, when she will be a legal adult and be free to make this gender transition decision irrespective of her parents’ wishes? The answer lies in it being about forcing acceptance of the transgender lie within the greater culture as a whole, all under the guise of preventing harm. Dr. Michelle Forcier, a pediatrician, who seeks to further peddle the transgender delusion, states, “If your child had asthma and was turning blue, you wouldn’t deny them their albuterol inhaler or say ‘let’s wait.’ If this were cancer or diabetes, we wouldn’t be having this conversation, but people get funny when it comes to medical care when gender is involved, and that’s harmful.” No, doctor, people get “funny” when there are being sold a pack of lies and flat-out child abuse wrapped up in the guise of “science.”
It’s a tragedy that this teenager is struggling with her identity, but demanding that culture change and her parents reject the truth of her biological sex in favor of a delusion is not the solution. Nor will it bring healing.
