Nicolle Wallace makes a good living hosting a “Never Trump” bashfest for an hour a day on MSNBC. Often, her target is the “incivility” of President Donald Trump, or how women are allegedly treated by his administration. Let’s get one thing out of the way: There is no excuse for the apparent conduct of Rob Porter, and he is deservedly out of a White House job.

But there is a lot of misogyny out in politics, and in one very prominent case, Wallace is silent. It’s almost as if she doesn’t seem to care about it. One woman has people wishing for her kids to be victims of gun violence, is called a nasty name that rhymes with “punt,” labeled a “whore,” and a host of other nasty attacks, including a link to a snuff film. If you want to see tons of misogynist attacks on a woman, take a good look at what NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch has been dealing with on Twitter, especially since the Parkland shooting.

Yet Wallace, the great defender of women, has been silent on Loesch, other than to tweet, “Good God,” after Loesch called out the media about its coverage of mass shootings. But the misogynistic attacks on Loesch don’t upset Wallace. She showed more anger at President Trump making a crack about Mika Brzezinski’s plastic surgery on Twitter than the far worse stuff Loesch is dealing with on a daily basis.

This isn’t the first time she’s hung a conservative woman out to dry. Remember when David Letterman made a joke about a then-15-year-old Willow Palin getting pregnant? That didn’t stop her from making an appearance on Letterman’s show to take a few potshots at Sarah Palin. We kinda knew she was an establishment “mean girl,” but this just takes the cake.

If Nicolle Wallace truly wanted to take a stand against misogynist attacks in politics, maybe she should stand up for Dana Loesch. If she doesn’t, though, she should take a printout of her Twitter feed, frame it, and hang it up near a mirror - it may help her understand why we got President Trump in the first place.
