“How’d you spend your snow day? Two kids in Silver Spring decided to help shovel out a neighbor who recently found herself in need of some extra helping hands. When you ask why they decided to help, though, they’ll say ‘just for the heck of it.’ However, nine-year-old Clara Dixon and 10-year-old Tommy Doherty aren’t quite telling the whole story. They decided to shovel this particular driveway, because their neighbor lost her husband the week before Christmas.”
