Former Democrat presidential “frontrunner” and frequent Leftmedia cable TV guest Michael Avenatti — also known as “Creepy Porn Lawyer” for representing Stormy Daniels in two failed lawsuits against President Donald Trump — was arrested and charged with bank and wire fraud last month. Well, we can add to that list now, and the picture we get of this fast-working swindler and scam artist is even worse.

“A federal grand jury has indicted the Los Angeles lawyer on 36 counts of fraud, perjury, failure to pay taxes, embezzlement and other financial crimes,” reports the LA Times. “Avenatti stole millions of dollars from five clients and used a tangled web of shell companies and bank accounts to cover up the theft.” Worse, “One of the clients … was a mentally ill paraplegic on disability who won a $4-million settlement of a suit against Los Angeles County. The money was wired to Avenatti in January 2015, but he hid it from Johnson for years, according to the indictment.”

That man was mentally ill and suicidal, and National Review notes that he “was awarded the settlement after paralyzing himself by jumping from an upper floor of the jail in which he was being held.”

By stealing from clients like that, Avenatti lived high on the hog with a multimillion-dollar home in Laguna Beach and a private jet. Now he’s likely going to live on the taxpayers’ dime in prison. All told, Avenatti’s crimes bring a maximum sentence approaching 400 years.

Actually, he sounds like the perfect Democrat presidential candidate. And based on the latest Democrat proposals, he may still get to vote from prison.
