Twenty-five members of the Alabama State Senate recently voted to pass the nation’s most restrictive abortion bill. All 25 of the senators to vote “yes” on the bill were Republicans. Last week, the state’s Republican female governor, Kay Ivey, signed the bill into law. Governor Ivey tweeted: “Today, I signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act. To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God.”

Margaret Sanger must be rolling over in her grave.

House Bill 314, known as the “Human Life Protection Act,” prohibits abortion or attempted abortion in Alabama, except “in cases where abortion is necessary in order to prevent a serious health risk to the pre-born child’s mother,” according to the bill.

Sanger was the catalyst for the slaughtering of infants in the womb and the administration of birth control to assure that “human weeds” would not procreate. These “human weeds” included “black” babies. She was an American birth-control activist, sex educator, writer, and nurse. She is the founder of Planned Parenthood — the organization that has 62% of its clinics near inner-city minority communities for “convenient” customer service in abortion operations.

Sanger is upheld as an important figure to the Democrat Party as they tirelessly support the abortion industry. She was revered by her protégé Hillary Clinton as she accepted the Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) Margaret Sanger Award. Clinton said of Sanger:

“It was a great privilege when I was told that I would receive this award. I admire Margaret Sanger [enormously]. Her courage, tenacity, her vision — I am really in awe of her.” She went on to say about Planned Parenthood, “It’s part of a movement which is about economic and political progress for all women and girls. It’s about making sure that every woman and girl everywhere has the opportunity she deserves to fulfill her potential, the potential as a mother, worker and human being. The overarching mission of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the cause of reproductive freedom that you continue to advance today, is as relevant in our world now as it was 100 years ago. So, I thank you.”

Nonetheless, the State of Alabama has spoken loud and proud, as abortion will be reclassified as a Class A felony. Practitioners — not mothers — could face up to 99 years in prison. Attempted abortions will be reclassified as a Class C penalty. The legislation does not make an exception for victims of rape or incest. This move will criminalize that which is criminal — the infanticide of entire generations. When asked whether she believed there was such a thing as sin, Sanger once said, “I think the greatest sin in the world is bringing children into the world.” Thanks to Alabama for voting your values. Evil will not win.
