As usual, there’s a lot of news on the immigration front as the nation faces a worsening border crisis. On Monday, President Donald Trump announced that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement “will begin the process of removing millions of illegal aliens who have illicitly found their way into the United States.” Trump added, “They will be removed as fast as they come in.” The announcement quickly hit the front page of every mainstream media outlet as if it was big news. But the news that ICE is removing illegal aliens should not be news. It is simply a federal agency doing its job. This would be like MSM headlining that traffic police will be stopping violators and issuing tickets.

Meanwhile, Democrats continue to do everything in their power to undermine America’s sovereignty. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a bill last night granting illegal aliens the right to obtain a driver’s license, which only establishes the veneer of “legitimacy” for people not here legally in the first place.

Speaking of sovereignty, The Washington Post published an article titled “The American Dream turned into hell” highlighting the plight of illegal aliens who have been forced to stay and wait in Juarez, Mexico, as their asylum requests are processed. The Post blames Trump for the situation rather than those migrants who have chosen to break U.S. law and put themselves and their children in an untenable situation.

Finally, it appears that the Mexican government is acting to fulfill its agreement with Trump to crack down on illegal migrants. On Saturday, Mexico arrested nearly 800 illegals who were found in several tractor trailers in Veracruz. Mexico’s new head of the National Migration Institute, Francisco Garduno, has also noted that 1,000 agents have been deployed to both its southern and northern borders, and that 6,000 National Guard troops will be stationed on the Guatemalan border by Tuesday.
