The Patriot Post® · Facebook Censors Pro-Life Ads, COO Donates to Planned Parenthood

In an interview last week with the Huffington Post, Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg revealed that she had recently donated $1 million to Planned Parenthood. Sandberg noted that her donation was personal and not connected to Facebook in anyway. And in so far as it’s her own money, she was being honest.

However, what is clear is that Facebook has actively engaged in censoring pro-life organizations and their content, and as the social-media giant’s COO, Sandberg would absolutely be privy to if not the source directing these actions. Last fall, Susan B. Anthony List’s pro-life ads were blocked and removed by Facebook, which falsely claimed that the ads “feature sensational or graphic content.” Those ads depicted images of ultrasounds and newborns, effectively making the simple and obvious observation that the preborn are indeed babies. That’s a message Planned Parenthood denies and seeks to silence.

The truth is that donating to Planned Parenthood is nothing new for Sandberg, as she also donated $1 million back in 2017. But her latest donation was designated to Planned Parenthood’s Action Fund, the abortion mill’s political-action organization, which targets conservatives and pro-life states. The current president of Planned Parenthood, Dr. Leana Wen noted this fact in expressing her appreciation to Sandberg: “Now, more than ever, Sheryl’s generous support is necessary to help Planned Parenthood fight back against unprecedented attacks on people’s health and rights. As anti-women’s health politicians try to pass extreme abortion bans across the country, our freedom and rights hang in the balance.” No mention of the freedom and rights of the preborn women and men “hanging in the balance.”

While examples like Sandberg’s donation to Planned Parenthood serve to further expose the degree of leftist bias present within Big Tech, the fact of the matter is that Planned Parenthood holds significant sway in Washington, where it receives a significant share of its funding courtesy of the American taxpayer. Seemingly, whatever Planned Parenthood wants, it gets. Even when Republicans held both houses of Congress and the presidency, they failed to end government funding of the nation’s number-one abortion provider out of fear of alienating women.
