The Patriot Post® · 'You Can't Handle the Truth!'

Many of us are familiar with the movie “A Few Good Men” starring Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise. And even those who aren’t know the scene in which Nicholson, a tough Marine colonel, was being questioned on the witness stand about the death of a Marine on his watch. As Cruise presses him to answer his questions, demanding, “I want the truth!”, Nicholson yells back, “You can’t handle the truth!”

Apparently, much of our mainstream media feel the need to protect us from the truth as well. It seems they feel we can’t handle it. So, in order to “protect us” they just ignore it. Let’s look at some recent examples.

Have you heard of Mini AOC? Many of us who would identify as conservatives were entertained by the videos of this eight-year-old girl doing her impressions of our famous new congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She was a riot (Mini AOC, not Big AOC) and if I remember, she had hundreds of thousands of followers on social media.

Apparently this is NOT acceptable to the tolerant left. After death threats were made against Mini AOC and her family, the family closed her social-media accounts. I thought Democrats were all about protecting the children! Looking at Mini AOC, I believe she is what Big AOC would call a person of color. But, death threats, really? Does the far left have no sense of humor? Apparently not! The response from the media? Crickets.

Then, the news hit about President Trump extending an olive branch to Kim Jung Un of North Korea and offering to meet. Kim accepted and Trump was the first U.S. president to cross over into North Korea. The leftists then accused Trump of just staging a photo op. The media was all over it. But what about a few other leftists who were seeking photo ops?

AOC and Rep. Fredrica Wilson from Florida went to the Southern border to what … have their photos taken to protest the treatment of what … the children. Then Wilson went on record to complain about Border Patrol Agents making fun of them. Wilson wanted to know who these people were so they could be prosecuted and jailed! Really? To quote President Obama, if you don’t want to be made fun of, don’t do stupid s…stuff (self-censored)! I’m sure someone probably had a few unkind comments. I mean, come on; they present such a target-rich environment. Thanks Obama! But the media felt they needed to protect us from this hypocrisy, so they said nothing. These are just a few of many examples of censorship.

Do the media really expect us to trust them when they are so obviously biased in their reporting? Their reporting consistently — more than 90% of the time — portrays a negative picture of our president and his agenda. More and more people are turning away from the mainstream media. They are learning there are better sources where they can get unbiased news and information.

Wake up MSM. Your ratings will continue to plummet if you continue operating in your own little bubble of bias!
