Upright: “Our major media are driven by narrative, not by fact. And the narrative depends on the players. Congresswomen Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., aren’t hiding their anti-Semitism. They revel in it. And why not? The media celebrate them as ‘The Squad.’ … Media coverage of Israel has long been skewed in favor of Israel’s enemies. How much coverage, for example, has the mainstream media given to the Palestinian Authority’s announcement — this week — that an LGBTQ group would be banned in its territories, since the PA’s values are in conflict with those of the group? The answer: virtually none.” —Ben Shapiro

Observations: “Trump has been strongly pro-life, strongly pro-American, strongly pro-Israel, strongly pro-capitalism, and he has pushed back against the freedom-robbing regulatory state. He cut taxes and he left evangelicals alone. He didn’t sue the nuns. He doesn’t want our guns. Voting for Trump is not ‘trading Christian values for political power.’ It’s voting in self-defense against the radical, evangelical-hating left and hoping for the best — and getting more than expected.” —Bryan Preston

For the record: “I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat … shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty.” —Donald Trump, who subsequently elucidated, “In my opinion, you vote for a Democrat, you’re being very disloyal to Jewish people, and you are being very disloyal to Israel. And only weak people would say anything other than that.”

Braying Jackass: “I’m Jewish. I’m a very patriotic American. And the idea that I would be disloyal by being a Democrat is just anathema to me. It’s something that you’d hear really from Mussolini or something from Germany in the ‘30s — that you have to be a member of their party, and if you’re not a member of their party, then you’re disloyal to your country.” —Rep. Steve Cohen

Dezinformatsiya: “We’re not going to let him use Jews and Israel and anti-Semitism as a wedge to divide us along the religious and racial lines. We’re in this together. We know [Trump] attacks black women, Muslims, women, Latinos, immigrants, and Jews, and we know that white supremacists are the number one domestic terror threat in America coming for all of us. We’re going to unite. We’re going to have our disagreements about Israel. That’s fine. But we’re going to unite against the common threat that is coming against all of us which is white supremacy.” —CNN’s Wajahat Ali

The BIG Lie: “The idea that if you’re going to solve this by making it harder to put families with sponsors and lock people up, this is World War II Japanese-American family detention camp-style operation.” —Sen. Jeff Merkley

Swampthink: “Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell … want to do the bidding of the NRA instead of the bidding of the American people when 90% of Americans, Republicans and Democrats, support something as straightforward and common sense as universal background checks. This president came in saying that he was going to drain the swamp and make changes. This is a perfect example that he is the swamp.” —Julian Castro

And last… “I was walking around my house this morning and I saw myself in a mirror. Now, although I know I’m not a young man, I decided then and there that I had to do something about what I saw. So I’ve had all the mirrors removed.” —Pat Sajak
