The Patriot Post® · Obama's Million-Dollar Oceanfront Hypocrisy

“This was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow,” Barack Obama boasted of his 2008 nomination to run for president.

“Rising sea levels threaten every coastline. … The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear. Sea levels are rising. Coastlines are shrinking,” Obama declared in 2009 — similar to numerous pronouncements about the dire straits of the globe due to climate change.

“I do think at a certain point you’ve made enough money,” Obama pontificated in 2010.

Well, apparently he thinks that he hasn’t made enough money yet. And evidently he thinks that he must have done enough to address rising sea levels with executive orders about building codes and massive power grabs by the EPA. Because Obama took the millions of dollars he and Michelle have raked in since he left the Oval Office two years ago and bought a $15 million mansion on Martha’s Vineyard — right on the ocean. (And that’s after spending $8 million on a home in DC.) The pair is now worth an estimated $135 million, so why not?

Call us crazy, but it’s almost as if Obama doesn’t believe the alarmist rhetoric about global warming. Nor does he buy the class-warfare tripe he peddled throughout his public life.

In truth, the Obamas have always been hypocrites about money, living the lifestyle of the rich and famous while in the White House. And ecofascists generally are hypocrites about warming. If it’s not Obama’s oceanfront manor, it’s the astounding carbon footprint of Al Gore’s mansion in Tennessee or Leonardo DiCaprio’s frequent flyer miles around the globe.

In other words, Obama’s gross hypocrisy isn’t exactly news, but that doesn’t make it any less appalling or obnoxious.
