The Patriot Post® · White Privilege Debunked
A few years ago, I watched a video of a youth counselor leading an activity that would reward the winner of the race with a crisp one hundred dollar bill. However, before this particular race began he made a caveat. He made eight statements and told each of the youth to step forward if they applied to anyone. The following list is what has become known as the indicator of “white privilege” in America.
Take two steps forward if both of your parents are still married.
Take two steps forward if you grew up with a father figure in the home.
Take two steps forward if you had access to a private education.
Take two steps forward if you had access to a free tutor growing up.
Take two steps forward if you have never had to worry about your cellphone being shut off.
Take two steps forward if you never had to help your mom and dad with the bills.
Take two steps forward if it wasn’t because of your athletic ability that you don’t have to pay for college.
Take two steps forward if you never had to wonder where your next meal was coming from.
These eight statements undoubtedly have nothing to do with skin color. They are associated with strong marriages, fathers leading and loving their children, the importance of a good education, work ethic, academic scholarship, budgeting money, and the provision of food. All eight statements can be summed up with two words: Family Privilege. If you’re anything like me or had similar experiences, you know the power of Family. The privilege of a child growing up in a home with two loving parents is what gives them the godly foundation they need and desperately desire.
If the color of your skin moved you further along in life, then what good is your brain?
What leftist society calls “white privilege,” I call God privilege.
God provides food. Psalms 37:25
The power to create wealth comes from God. Deuteronomy 8:18
The ability to make decisions with wisdom and knowledge comes from God. Proverbs 4:7
The loving leadership of a Dad comes from God. Psalms 127:3-5
The institution of marriage comes from God. Mark 10:6-9
“White Privilege” does not stand a chance in the face of God’s freedom and opportunity through His word.
At the end of the aforementioned youth activity, it was quite interesting that the students who were at the front of the line were Caucasian. The students in the middle of the pack were also Caucasian. In the back of the line, more Caucasians. Hmmm. There were also black and brown students who had moved up in line. Regardless of their skin colors, they were all created in the image of God. Just like you and me! Their privilege came from their parents, not them.
Covetousness has destroyed the fabric of America. If someone has something that’s desired, leftists cry wolf and demand you had some sort of advantage over them. This is nothing short of a two-year-old temper tantrum. “White privilege” is a cute way of saying, “Hey, I want what you have! Give me your house, car, money, and lifestyle or else I’ll ridicule you!”
If you have any amount of guilt because of your skin color, relieve yourself of this misery.
Be grateful your advantages in life came through either you working hard or those who came before you. The Bible says, “A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children.” Set the next generation up for their “privilege.”
